Cosmoprof Asia Launches The Natural Health Fair

Cosmoprof Asia Ltd announced today that it is launching The Natural Health Fair which will be held from 13 - 15 November, 2002 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Natural Health Fair is Asia's international trade event for the global natural health trade. Products on show will include natural and organic foods and beverages, ingredients, diets, natural health medicines, health-related therapies, and all the products and services related to healthy living.

Cosmoprof Asia Ltd is a joint-venture company between Cosmoprof, the world's leading beauty trade fair held every year in Italy, and CMP Asia, Asia's leading trade fair organiser.

In announcing the launch of the new fair, Michael Duck, Director of Cosmoprof Asia and Senior Vice President of CMP Asia said: "Traditional medicines, herbal based medicines and organic foods have been part of Asian culture for centuries. Their importance to Asians today is as strong as ever and now they have been joined by the fast-growing demand for a healthier lifestyle and diet by increasingly affluent consumers worldwide."

Bringing together the benefits of beauty and natural health,The Natural Health Fair is held at the same time and at the same venue as Cosmoprof Asia,Asia's largest international beauty trade fair.Covering a net exhibition space of over 13,000 sqm, Cosmoprof Asia 2001 concluded with more than 31,000 trade visitors from around the world (figures examined by PricewaterhouseCoopers). Total overseas buyers increased significantly in 2001 by 24%, with buyers from the USA alone up by 17%.

"There is a strong and growing trade relationship throughout Asia between beauty and fitness products, and natural foods, diet, medicines and therapies," said Laura Zaccagnini, Director of Cosmoprof Italy. "By co-locating these two major events, exhibitors and visitors will benefit through the increased attendance, particularly of key retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and salon and spa owners."

There will be separate visitor registration for each event, though all visitors will be allowed free entry to the co-located event without having to register again.
