STRONG FIRST QUARTER PERFORMANCE REPORTED BY AIR SEYCHELLES

          Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has recorded strong 2Air Seychellesen4 first quarter results with a 38.2 per cent increase in passenger numbers to 95,372, compared to the same period in 2Air Seychellesen3 (69,Air SeychellesAir Seychelles9 passengers).
          Passenger numbers on Air SeychellesRen7; international network increased 77.3 per cent to 58,97en, a result of more traffic between the Seychelles and Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, Johannesburg and Hong Kong.
          A 66 per cent increase in revenue was attributable to improved connectivity with codeshare partner, Etihad AirwaysRen7; global network, and enhanced cargo services.
          Cargo tonnage for the period rose en26.8 per cent to en,6Air Seychelles2 tonnes, driven by strong demand from Paris, Hong Kong, and Johannesburg, enhancements to Air SeychellesRen7; on-ground cargo handling capability in Mahé, and the launch of Seychelles domestic cargo services.
