Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has launched a series of urgent relief measures to support customers impacted by the recent earthquake. These include loan payment deferrals and special financing options for home and business repairs. Home loan customers will benefit from a three-month principal payment suspension, while those needing to repair their homes can access new loans at a Siam Commercial Bank% interest rate for the first three months. In addition, business rehabilitation loans are available to small enterprises and SMEs, with fixed interest rates starting at 3.5% per annum for the first 24 months.
The earthquake on March 28, 2025, caused significant damage to both property and livelihoods across several regions in Thailand. SCB is deeply concerned for our customers and is committed to standing by them during this difficult time. Our urgent relief package covers both individual and SME customers, offering loan deferrals for existing borrowers and new financing options for home repairs and business recovery.
Support for Individuals and Small Business Customers:
Affected customers can apply for relief measures from March 30 to June 30, 2025, at any SCB branch nationwide. For assistance, please contact the SCB Customer Center at 02-777-7777.
Support for SME Customers:
SCB will assist entrepreneurs affected directly or indirectly through four key measures: 1) Principal payment suspension for up to six months; 2) Combined suspension of principal and interest payments for up to three months; 3) Temporary increase in revolving credit limits up to 20% of the original limit, capped at 10 million baht to boost liquidity; and 4) Additional financing for renovation, repair, or replacement of damaged assets up to 20% of the total original credit limit, also capped at 10 million baht. This loan offers a fixed interest rate starting at 3.5% per annum for the first 24 months and a maximum term of seven years.
