The debut of Tata Nano roadshows in Thailand

Tata Motors is presenting its groundbreaking automotive innovation the Tata Nano, as well as its commercial pickups on roadshows to 11 provinces to increase the public’s recognition of the company, its philosophy and its products. The 11 provinces are in the Northern, Northeastern and Southern regions of Thailand. “Following the Nano’s successful showing at the Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok last year, we want to take it to a wider public so that more Thai people can see the innovative product,” said Ajit Venkataraman, Chief Executive Officer of Tata Motors (Thailand). The Tata Nano is an economical, affordable, super-compact car for the mass consumer market. It meets EU safety standards while being ecologically friendly with low carbon emissions and fuel consumption of 23.6 kilometres per litre. At the recent Motor Expo it was the winner of the ‘Innovation for Sustainable Life’ award. From March 26, roadshows will be organised at popular malls in major provinces. In the North they will be at Big C Nakhon Sawan from March 27-29, Big C Phitsanulok from April 2-4, and Central Airport department store in Chiang Mai from April 30 to May 2. Roadshows in the Northeast will start in Udon Thani at Central department store from March 26-28, followed by Central department store Khon Kaen from April 2-4, The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima from April 9-11, Big C Sakon Nakhon from April 23-25, Sermthai Department store, Maha Sarakham from April 30 to May 2, and Nevada Department store, Roi Et from May 7-9. In the South, the Nano will be on show at Big C Songkhla from March 26-28, and at Lotus Had Yai in Surat Thani from April 2-4. Also on display will be the Tata Xenon pickup range, including the Xenon Diesel 2.2 VTT Dicor with a powerful yet fuel economical engine for commercial use, and the Xenon CNG, the first genuine CNG/NGV pickup on the Thai market, ideal for optimizing cost efficiency.
