Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and celebrity chef mcdang invite guests to join a charity dinner in the company of hrh princess soamsawali. Embark upon an exciting culinary journey through the secrets of Thai cuisine on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Thai celebrity food expert, chef and writer ML Sirichalerm Svasti, popularly known as Chef McDang, will jointly host an exclusive dinner on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 – all in the name of a good cause. Presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali, the charity dinner will take guests on an exciting culinary journey through the secrets of Thai cuisine, with cooking demonstrations and exquisite dishes created by Chef McDang. Proceeds from the dinner and live charity auction will go to HRH Princess Soamsawali’s “Save a Child’s Life from AIDS” project, under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society. The project was initiated with the key objective to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and provides medicine for pregnant mothers who are affected with AIDS. The charity dinner event will take place at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai’s renowned Cooking School. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:30 pm, followed by a five-course dinner paired with fine wines. The menu will feature Chef McDang’s creations, including such items as Timbale of Fish Curry Mousse; Pomelo and Smoked Salmon Salad served in Betel Nut Leaf Cups; and Braised Beef Osso Bucco served with Green Curry Sauce and Black Rice. Tickets for the event are priced at THB 3,500 per person, inclusive of applicable tax and service charge. Exclusive tickets for seats at the head table, presided over by HRH Princess Soamsawali herself, are available for a minimum donation of THB9,900 per person, with all proceeds of the full ticket price going to the “Save A Child’s Life from AIDS” project. The Resort has also created a special package for guests who would like to retire to a guestroom after dinner, full and content. The overnight package includes one night’s accommodation in a Lanna Pavilion, daily breakfast, and dinner tickets for two people, and is priced at THB15,000 per pavilion, subject to government tax and service charge.
