TRIPADVISOR ANNOUNCES 2012 TRAVELLERS’ CHOICE

Seven out of the Top Ten Beach Spots in Asia are in Thailand according to TripAdvisor’s Millions of Travellers TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the winners of its annual Travellers’ Choice Beach Destinations awards. This year, 181 top beach locations were named around the world, covering 21 regions including Thailand and Asia. Award winners were determined based on the most highly rated beach destinations by travellers in TripAdvisor reviews. Unlike any other honours, TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice winners are based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travellers around the world. Seven of the top ten rankings of beach destinations in Asia came from Thailand. Koh Phi Phi Don which is known for its classic beaches and rock formations took the top spot for Thailand. It was also ranked the second best behind Boracay in the Philippines which laid claim to the best beach destination in the whole of Asia. Besides one beach destination in Indonesia and another in India, the rest of the rankings for Asia were given to Thailand. The top ten best beach destinations in Thailand and Asia are listed below. “Thailand’s beaches are among the finest and most popular in the world.
