PTT launched Cafe Amazon franchise in Cambodia to introduce Thai brand to ASEAN

          Offering choices for Cambodian coffee lovers with the uniqueness of Thai coffee, international standards and reasonable price, aiming to serve DownstreamCafe Amazon8 branches in Cambodia and 4Cafe AmazonCafe Amazon chains in ASEAN by enCafe AmazonenDownstream.
          Mr. Sarun Rungkasiri, Chief Operation Officer, Downstream Petroleum Business Group, PTT Public Company Limited stated that PTT started Cafe Amazon franchise in Cambodia by granting rights of a master franchise to PTTCL.
          "Nowadays, there is a growing demand and popularity for coffee consuming among young Cambodians, workers, and students that change their behaviors to hang out with friends in coffee shop and quench their thirst for good coffee. Due to a high popularity in flavor and atmosphere of PTT Cafe Amazon in Cambodia, PTT seized this retail opportunity to expand and allowed rights of a master franchise in Cambodia to PTTCL, which represents as a dealer of PTT petroleum and other products. Importantly, this business opportunity is not only worth pursuing for PTT, but also taking part in building jobs for Cambodians and generates economic growth of our neighbors.
          This master franchise granting will be a prototype for PTT Group retail business operation in oversea, which under planning to develop and exercise the rights of Cafe Amazon Master franchise in Myanmar, Japan, and Oman in the future. Significantly, it is a big step to promote Thai brand of Cafe Amazon to shine in ASEAN's coffee market and expand its business continuously and rapidly, driving PTT to become a successful global brand," said Mr. Sarun.
          Presently, there are Downstream4 Cafe Amazon in Cambodia operating by PTT, up to Downstream8 Cafe Amazon franchise by the end of this year with a target of 76 branches within enCafe AmazonenDownstream. PTT continues to drive its business with an aim to build pride and treasure of Thailand by promoting recognition of Thai branded in an international arena.
